Google’s new camera app for the Pixel series, called Google Camera, is finally available for the Poco F3. This is great news for those of us who have been waiting to try out Google’s new camera app on a budget phone. However, not all is well with the camera app. We have noticed that the front facing camera is very slow to open, and is not set up properly for the F3. With that said, let’s dive into what Google Camera is all about!

This is the best camera app for Xiaomi Poco F3. This is a Google Camera port which does not require rooting the device with Magisk or SuperSU. As far as I know this is the only camera app that works on Poco F3 without root. Good enough to be a recommendable app for all Poco F3 owners.

The Poco F3 is another smartphone with many features of Xiaomi’s Poco subsidiary thanks to a Snapdragon 870 5G SoC processor, a 120Hz refresh rate panel and a mid-range vibrating lens camera module. The Poco F3 features a 48MP Sony IMX-582 main camera sensor, as well as an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 5MP macro camera. The typical mid-range camera takes decent photos, but you can boost its performance by installing the Pixel 5 third-party camera app (aka the GCam port). Here you can download Google Camera for Poco F3.

On the software side, the Poco F3 offers the typical standard Xiaomi camera app with modes like AI, HDR, Pro, 48MP and more. The application performs well in both daylight and low light conditions. Of course, these photos are not comparable to those taken with the Google Camera application. With the Google Camera app, you can take great photos in almost any environment. Best of all, the Poco F3’s GCam also supports an astrophotography mode that lets you take amazing photos in low-light conditions.

The latest port of Google Camera is GCam 8.1 from BSG, compatible with the Poco F3. As for the features, the app supports features like Designated astrophotography mode, Night vision, SloMo, Beauty mode, HDR enhanced, Lens blur, PhotoSphere, Playground, RAW formats support, Google Lens, etc. Now let’s go through the steps to download and install the Google Camera app on the Poco F3.
