Bethesda’s VP of marketing Pete Hines confirmed that the developer’s next major Fallout game won’t be coming to the PlayStation 5, for now at least. Hines made the statement in response to a question on Twitter. When asked if Bethesda would ever release another major Fallout game for the PS5, he replied: “Not until we’re done with it.”
Bethesda’s Pete Hines told GameInformer at QuakeCon that the company is not working on or planning a new Elder Scrolls game for the PS5. The company will, however, be bringing Rage 2 to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Hines admitted that Bethesda would rather develop for the PS4 and Xbox One because of their larger install bases. “We’re not going to get into the business of trying to develop for the theoretical console that doesn’t exist yet,” Hines said. “It seems a little bit silly.”
If there was one thing that Starfield did for the Bethesda conference, it was to get the internet talking. But if you peeked in on the net during Sony’s press conference, you may have also noticed that everyone was talking about Rambo. While on the surface the two seem like unrelated topics, there is actually a very interesting connection between the two.
Things have changed since the announcement that Starfield would not be coming to PlayStation consoles. While this isn’t surprising since Microsoft now owns everything Bethesda has worked on, I find it a little frustrating since many of us had hoped that Microsoft would allow Bethesda to develop some of their future games for the PlayStation as well, but as time goes on it becomes more and more clear that this idea may not materialize. Of course, Deathloop would be a PS5 exclusive game. While we haven’t heard that the game has been cancelled for PlayStation, it has been delayed until the fall, which has raised many questions. Questions such as: Is this delay meant to buy time to officially cancel the deal with PlayStation? Will the game still be timed? Will we ever see another Elder Scrolls game on PlayStation consoles? Elder Scrolls has nothing to do with Deathloop, but damn, it’s getting on my nerves! In Warzone Black Ops, on the other hand, things are a bit more retro: The Cold War. From 20. In May, players will have access to the Rambo and John McLane (from Die Hard) operator sets. These kits include skins for both characters, blueprints for weapons, and much more! We’ve looked at pictures on the internet, some people complain that the characters don’t look good enough, and you can argue about that when you’re actually working on it, but they don’t look bad, and I think I’m looking forward to it. In addition to the limited kits, there will also be limited events in Cold War and Warzone to celebrate! We’ll see things like the Nakatomi location from the first Die Hard movie and the survival camps from the Rambo franchise in the war zone. Warzone will also feature a limited time game mode called Power Grab. From what we hear, it will be some sort of Kill Confirmed/Battle Royale mix. Call of Duty Balck Ops: Cold War will also feature limited events such as Die Hardpoint, Rambo’s Gun Game and Multi-Team Elimination. But wait! And that’s not all! There will be time-based medals in the game that you can get 2xp for. I think it’s going to be great, but I hope I don’t get distracted and panic haha. There’s a lot more stuff coming with this update, but I don’t have all the details on that. I will tell you what it is after I test everything in practice, not based on summary information I know. I don’t know if I should be surprised, but GTA V is getting a PS5 version. I remember buying GTA V on the PS3….. good times. I was really hoping we’d be closer to the release of GTA 6, but maybe this is just to give us an idea of what they can do with GTA V and say: If you think this is great, wait until you see GTA 6 on PS5 this year! I know I’m dreaming, but I think it would be really great. And why do I keep typing GTA 6 instead of VI? Names are written in Roman numerals. The world may never know, but these are the questions that keep me up at night. Last but not least: Sony has filed a patent application for a cybersports gaming platform that allows players to use all types of currency, including bitcoin! I don’t know much about it, but I think it’s a pretty lucrative business. I know there are a few states in the US where online gambling is not allowed, and we don’t really know how it’s all going to work, but it was interesting enough to mention. We will definitely keep an eye on this project. As always: Thanks for reading and see you soon on the site! The last we heard about Starfield, it was supposed to be the first “brand new IP” from Bethesda Softworks since Fallout in 1997. That was more than 20 years ago, and Bethesda has been around since 1985. (It has also made a lot of sequels and spin-offs in the meantime.) The game was announced in 2017, with Todd Howard taking the stage at E3 to show off a teaser trailer—a nice-looking sci-fi space game, with a skyscraper-sized ship in the middle of a sprawling, alien metropolis. A couple of months later, at the D.I.C.E. Summit, he said “It’s going to be a while” and they weren’t “trying to. Read more about starfield gameplay and let us know what you think.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Starfield still coming to PS5?
The most exciting news to come out of Bethesda’s E3 conference is likely the announcement of Starfield, a franchise that many would consider to be the next Elder Scrolls. However, the game was announced as a new IP, meaning that it’s in a brand new universe with brand new characters. While the excitement of a new franchise is great, it’s also a little disappointing for some PS5 owners that were hoping to get a first-hand look at Starfield, which is likely a PS5 exclusive. In a recent interview with a popular gaming magazine, Bethesda’s Pete Hines was asked if Starfield would be their next release, following the success of Fallout 76. His response was that Starfield will not be coming to the PS5 console, but Rambo will be coming to the Warzone game.
Will warzone get a PS5 update?
Playstation 5 has officially been announced, and while some of you may be excited by the prospect of the new console, there is a big elephant in the room: Warzone has been sat on the shelf since it was first announced back at E3 2015, and no PS5 version has been announced. As a result, while some of you may be excited by the prospect of the new console, there is a big elephant in the room: Warzone has been sat on the shelf since it was first announced back at E3 2015, and no PS5 version has been announced. Because there are so many players with stats in the game already, starting from scratch is just a giant pain. Plus, there would be no pre-existing communities, and no reason for new players to be able to use their old play names. However, there’s going to be a lot of new content.
Does warzone run at 120FPS on PS5?
The good folks at Eurogamer have just released a video in which they discuss the load times for upcoming FPS, Starfield. And, in their own words, they “found something in the video that is very exciting. It appears that Starfield will run at 120 FPS on the PS5.” The video and the full article are linked below, so watch it for yourself. Sony’s PlayStation 5 has been a topic of constant discussion since E3 last year. It’s hard to know if it’s coming in 2020 or if it’s getting delayed to 2021, but for the moment, we’re going to assume that it’s going to ship next year. And it’s hard to know what the specs are going to be, with some rumors indicating that it will run at 120 FPS while others say it will be backwards compatible with PS4 games.
